On Nov. 20, the beloved Hunger Games film series was brought to a close with the release of its third and final movie, “Mockingjay Part 2.” The Hunger Games has been a favorite in our hearts since its debut in 2012, and its final installment has made a triumphant finale for fans everywhere, both book readers and film watchers alike.

“Mockingjay Part 2” is centered on our favorite heroine, Katniss Everdeen, finding a way to bring down the Capitol and President Snow. The whole movie keeps you on the edge of your seat, and just when you think you know what’s going to happen, the film throws a fresh curve ball your way. This movie features action-packed scenes based around fighting, death, rejuvenation and one killer surprise that has been predicted since the release of the first movie. It also keeps you guessing throughout when it comes to #TeamPeeta or #TeamGail.

I enjoyed “Mockingjay Part 2” because I was able to watch Katniss’ journey finally come to a close. More so, Katniss is a character that everyone can relate to – she’s hardworking, strong, and shows that a person can go through many struggles but prevail nonetheless. To anyone who has read the books or seen a previous movie, I highly recommend watching “Mockingjay Part 2.” It’s filled with suspenseful shots, excellent actors, heart-aching scenes, and of course: the mockingjay.
