Here are the top five brunch spots in Baltimore, ranked for your reviewing pleasure. For the 21 crew, all are bottomless as well.
- Barcocina
Barcocina is a Mexican-inspired restaurant with dishes that range from huevos rancheros to chorizo benedict, but it wouldn’t be a great Mexican brunch without quality guacamole. Barcocina offers five different types of guac, from the original Oaxaca style to lobster guacamole. If you’re not in the mood for Mexican, you can still find yummy yet traditional favorites such as the Belgian waffle or the roasted corn & crab omelet. For those looking to indulge in the bottomless special, you will definitely get your money’s worth because the waiters leave pitchers of mimosas on the table. The true beauty of Barcocina, though, is the location. It’s right on the water, and the whole building is open so you can feel the breeze from wherever you are sitting. This brunch leads to a charming afternoon on the harbor.
- The Point in Fells
The Point is a very cute restaurant with an old-time feel. It seems small from the outside, but opens up with a large seating area on the second floor. This place is buzzing on the weekends with all types of customers, from families to noisy college students and everyone in between. The Point offers a fun variety of bottomless Natty Bohs, bloody marys, mimosas and screwdrivers. They also have many different food options on their menu. The breakfast pizza special is a masterpiece, the crabby tots are a delicious mixture of Maryland crab dip , cheddar cheese and tater tots and the apple pie French toast will satisfy any sweet tooth. If you’re looking for a brunch that accommodates all taste palates, The Point is the place to be.
This brunch spot is for the casual and the intimate bruncher. Whether you’re looking for a day of watching tennis in Patterson Park, which is right next to BistroRx, or a romantic meal in the brick-walled dining room, you’ll find it here. The brunch menu includes a wide array of items, such as the garden soft scramble, prescription omelet, hangover burger and an à la carte section. The chef is a risk taker who is looking to spice up your brunch life. Alas, we must not forget the bottomless bloody marys, mimosas and screwdrivers.
- WTF (Waterfront Hotel)
The name isn’t the only cheeky thing about this place. The staff is so much fun and truly make the experience. I was able to experience WTF during a birthday brunch that was filled with buckets, laughs and a free birthday drink. If your brunch group has energy, so will your waiter, leading to a memorable (or not so memorable) afternoon. The number one recommendation for food is the tater tots. Even if you don’t like tater tots, you should get them. The burgers, benedicts and bowls are also very good. Lastly, you are able to switch up your bottomless drinks between bloody marys, mimosas, screwdrivers & Natty Bohs.
- Bond Street Social
If you have to brunch at one restaurant before leaving Loyola, this is the place. Bond Street brunch is more than a combination of breakfast and lunch… it’s an experience. If you do decide to do bottomless, I would dedicate the whole day to this magical adventure. There are many fabulous qualities to this restaurant, one being the wait staff. They are friendly, attentive and know how to make an afternoon of bottomless mimosas count. The food is so delicious and Parmigiano frites are a must. Other favorites are the breakfast flatbread, grilled cheese sliders and crab cake benedict. The atmosphere is meant for large groups of friends laughing the day away. Along with the indoor seating, there is an outdoor area on the water, so try to get to Bond Street while the weather’s still nice. This brunch spot does not disappoint.
