As summer leaves, we look back on the Maryland State Fair season.
The annual tradition returned to its 143rd installment, celebrating the end of the summer season with a festive atmosphere.
The Maryland State Fair & Agricultural Society is a private non-profit dedicated to supporting agricultural education and preserving Maryland’s agricultural roots.
Ever since 1879, the Maryland State Fair has opened its doors in the Maryland State fairgrounds, featuring livestock exhibits, competitions, demonstrations, and giving insight into Maryland’s farming and rural communities.
Apart from providing educational exhibits on agriculture, attendees can also enjoy a wide range of entertainment options ranging from live performances, carnival rides, games and attractions, and so much more.
By bringing local communities together for a shared experience and celebration of the end of the year tradition, the State Fair has become Maryland’s largest ticketed event and celebration of agriculture in Maryland.
