WBAL-TV reports that Question F, a referendum to redevelop the Inner Harbor, has passed. Question F amends the Baltimore City Charter to allow land classified for public park use to be open for commercial development.
MCB Real Estate plans to demolish the existing pavilions to construct a mixed-use complex including high-rise buildings. This was the subject of a court fight before going to the voters. According to CBS News, an Anne Arundel judge ruled that Question F was unconstitutional. The Maryland Supreme Court overturned the ruling in October, clearing the way for this Inner Harbor redevelopment referendum.
