On Apr. 14, study abroad programs in Auckland, Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, Melbourne, Santiago (Chile), and Singapore were closed by the university. These programs were set to leave before Aug. 8, 2020.
This decision does not affect other fall programs.
According to an email from The Office of International Programs sent to the students committed to all other fall programs, decisions about whether or not to cancel those abroad plans is not yet decided.
“The University continues to monitor very closely the evolution of covid-19 around the world and we will be able to share more information by May 15, 2020,” the email said. “In the meantime we continue to work with our host universities abroad get our programs ready for the fall 2020.”
