Rosenzweig finally got the offense rolling with her first goal, then Wilson, Kluegel, and Sam Fiedler ’21 each scored consecutive unassisted goals to give Loyola a 4-2 lead at halftime.
Towson came out firing in the second half, but Larsson stepped up and made five saves to bail out the defense. Wilson started the second half scoring with an assist from Fiedler, then Kluegel scored her second goal.
The Tigers went on a brief 3-0 run from 19:04 to 16:01, but the Hounds responded with five straight goals from Caitlyn Gunn ‘20, Bridget Ballard ‘21, Wills twice, and Sydney Foster ‘23.
Loyola held a commanding 12-5 lead with the clock running below five minutes, but Towson put together a brief rally to make the score 13-10 with a minute to go.
The Greyhounds won the next draw, then Rosenzweig found Wilson for an easy goal with 26 seconds left to ice the game.
The women’s lacrosse team travels to the University of Florida for their first road trip of the season this weekend. They will take on the fourth-ranked Gators on Saturday, starting at noon.
