One Question: A panel presented by The Arc

One+Question%3A+A+panel+presented+by+The+Arc

How do your friends see you? If you asked them to describe you, would they discuss your amazing work ethic, incredible taste in fashion, or your epic rock climbing skills? Or, would they define you in terms of what you can’t do – how you cook EasyMac without water in the microwave, or how you can’t properly use a semicolon?

Do you talk about others in terms of their abilities, or their disabilities?

On April 14 at 7 p.m, The Arc of Baltimore will be hosting a Messina wide event called “One Question,” which seeks to raise awareness about individuals with disabilities and guide discussion on how to support those whose voices are sometimes ignored.

The Arc of Baltimore is a nonprofit organization that works with individuals with developmental disabilities to answer that question and many more, offering services that aid in finding jobs, connecting with others, and providing compassion.

“One Question” is an opportunity to learn more: how to grow in compassion, how to respect and honor lives you may not understand, and how to look to the faces of those around you and see humanity. Come view life in a different way, or just grow in your understanding of a vitally important world.

Registration for “One Question” can be found here.
