At finals time every semester, the Loyola Notre Dame Library hosts a stress release event where students can pet and play with trained therapy dogs from around Baltimore.
As anyone would, Loyola students love this event because it’s relieves students of the stress they feel at finals time. Students cooed and smiled as they played with the dogs. Students also love to see dogs that remind them of their own dog at home.
Main of the therapy dogs were rescued dogs, some from shelters, others from puppy farms. All of them are trained to be the calm, quiet and cuddly dogs that the students love so much.
At the end of the event, the head of the program was speaking to some of the volunteers about adding more dates of the event. One volunteer suggested to have another therapy dog event at the beginning of next semester. Whenever the next event will be, Loyola students will be excited for the return of the adorable therapy dogs.
