A record that has stood in the Loyola swimming and diving books since 2006 has finally been bested. Senior Elle Mixa scored a 266.92 in the 1-meter dive Saturday at Lehigh. Her score topped Megan Sterback’s 255.23. Mixa also won the 3-meter dive competition with a score of 243.23; the fourth time she has swept both events this year. Another senior, Victoria Arturi finished second in both events.
On the men’s side of the competition senior Michael Brown also swept his events winning the 1-meter and 3-meter dives.
The Hounds as a team however, were swept by the Lehigh Mountain Hawks 216-78 on the men’s side and 192-102 for the women; the first loss for the women this season.
