Towson proved to be too much for Loyola as they defeated the Greyhounds 96-72 in the Greyhounds home opener on Friday November 17th.

Guard Brian Starr led Towson with 21 points and 6 assists, followed by Zane Martin with 19 points and 3 assists. Three other players on the team scored more than 10 points en route to victory.

On the other side, Cam Gregory led Loyola with 17 points. Isaiah Hart poured in 14 points while Andrew Kostecka contributed 12 points and 8 rebounds.

Kostecka was aggressive and contributed well offensively. He riled up the crowd and provided a spark to fuel a comeback, but Towson simply could not miss. The club shot 61.8% from the field and 50% from the three-point line.

Loyola followed up the loss with a blowout victory at home against Goucher College by a final score of 97-45. The Hounds will look to keep this success moving forward as they face UMass Lowell on Sunday.
