Seven hours into Relay for Life, the Student Government Association (SGA) announced the three acts playing Loyolapalooza this year.

Students will enjoy sets from Parachute, X Ambassadors and Radical Something on the quad during the annual, free concert.

Reaction to the announcement was mixed, due to students being unfamiliar with the acts.

“I don’t who any of them are, and I would like to know who some of them are. But I’m so excited,” said Maxwell Worth, 2017.

Katie Connolly, 2016, echoed Worth’s sentiment. “I honestly don’t know who parachute is, but I’m really excited for the three acts,” she said.

The winner of WLOY’s Battle of the Bands on April 9 will serve as the opening act for the event.

Loyolapalooza will be held on Sunday, April 19, with festivities beginning at noon. Along with the artist announcement, SGA also announced that this year’s festival will be going sustainable.

Looks like the Battle of the Bands winner will be the best act of the day.
