On Friday Oct. 11, Loyola University Maryland Women’s volleyball team brought pride to campus during their Pride Night Game against Colgate at Reitz Arena.
The athletics department partnered with Spectrum, an all-inclusive group for LGBTQ+ students on campus, and with The LGBTQ+ Experience organization which helps amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ students on campus through advocacy and support.
The Pride Night Game helped promote visibility for LGBTQ students and offered tabling from both the Spectrum Club and The LGBTQ+ Experience organization to provide students with more information about future events and how to get involved.
The night ended with a loss from the Loyola’s team after a well-fought 4 sets, and was followed by a Drag show hosted by The LGBTQ+ experience.
