On Monday, October 30, Loyola University Maryland students and faculty came together and marched across campus to protest the Israeli attacks on Palestine.
The protest, which went around campus, comes twenty-three days after armed conflict between Israel and Palestine intensified following a surprise Hammas attack on Israel during the Simchat Torah holiday. Since the attack, Israel has conducted a series of attacks on Palestine, mainly the Gaza Strip, and has created several opinions among members of the Loyola community.
“Over 4,000 Palestinian children have been killed, killed isn’t the right word, slaughtered. These innocent children were slaughtered before they get the chance to experience life, and that number will continue to grow until we do something about it, even using our voices is the first step,” Ronni Ireland said, a fellow Loyola student.
