Senior 100s: A Great Way to Celebrate 100 Days Until Graduation

Senior 100s: A Great Way to Celebrate 100 Days Until Graduation

The following represents the opinion of the student reporter and does not represent the views of Loyola University Maryland, the Greyhound, or Loyola University’s Department of Communication.

Loyola Maryland seniors recently celebrated 100 days to graduation in style with the Senior 100s PJ Party. This event was a fantastic way for the seniors to come together and mark an important milestone in their academic journey, while also letting loose and having some fun. This marks just one event leading up to graduation, as events like Senior Soiree and Senior 50s to come. Victoria Brimacomb ‘23 reflected on the slumber party theme.

Brimacomb said, “I didn’t vote for the slumber party theme, but it was actually super fun to hang out and dance in my pjs”.

I believe the Senior 100s PJ Party was an event that truly captured the essence of Loyola. The party was filled with warmth, camaraderie, and a genuine sense of community. Seeing so many seniors come together in their pajamas to celebrate the end of their undergraduate careers was a touching moment that I’m sure many will remember for years to come. Christian Parker ‘23 emphasized his liking of the event.

Parker said, “I thought SGA did a wonderful job of organizing the event; especially, Andrew Loonstyn.”

In addition to being a great way to have fun, the Senior 100s PJ Party was also an opportunity for the seniors to reflect on their time at Loyola Maryland and the experiences they’ve had over the past four years. Gio Euresti ‘23 showed his enthusiasm regarding the event.

Euresti said, “100s was great! The senior countdown events are a really fun way to hang out with the class leading up to graduation”.

For me, the event was a chance to think about the friendships I have made, the knowledge I have gained, and the challenges I have overcome. And while the end of my undergraduate career may be bittersweet, the Senior 100s PJ Party was a reminder that the future is full of endless possibilities.

Overall, the Loyola Maryland Senior 100s PJ Party was a wonderful event that truly captured the spirit of the university and the bonds that tie the senior class together. It was a fitting celebration of all the hard work, dedication, and memories that have been built over the past four years, and a perfect way to kick off the countdown to graduation.

There are still more senior events to reminisce on the great time I have at Loyola. For instance, SGA sent out a survey to get opinions about Senior Soiree. Senior Soiree is a memorable evening to celebrate our class together one last time before graduation. Senior Soiree is a semi-formal party with food, music, and fun.
